In May this year Group Lead Volunteer Merlin – Gavin Doxey and Beaver Team Member Rabbit – James Kemp took part in RBL Standard Bearer Training alongside other members of The British Legion / Explorer Scouts and others. Merlin had done the course before over 8 weeks back in 2012 but this was an intensive 1 day course. Both passed the course with flying colours. This reinforced our affiliation with Churchfield Branch Royal British Legion. We were the first Scouts in South and West Yorkshire to do this.
