September the 7th 2025 was avery big day in the Groups History. The group were inspected by Wing Commander David Hale carrying out a number of activities along with paperwork evidence already submitted to try and gain RAF Recognition for the group the first time since the 1950’s. Along with our friends from 148 Squadron Barnsley Air Cadets our leadership team put on a fantastic day for all three sections, The event was witnessed by The Mayor and Mayoress of Barnsley and representatives from Churchfield Branch Royal British Legion and the two Barnsley Rotary Clubs.
The group were sucsessful on the day and gained RAF Recognition Pennant Number 85 which was marked by a certificate an Raf Recognition Pennant and congratulations from all our guests.
